The Goods: issue five | june 2008

Why The Goods is a Tad Bit Late.

Hey, it's not like we've been slacking off and sipping Mai Tais in some exotic locale since January and no, our dog didn't eat our sketchbooks either. We've just been keeping busy with a bunch of new projects. As a mid-year recap, we introduce to you some of our latest work. Cheers.

Innovation Philadelphia

Innovation Philadelphia Brand Identity

Innovation Philadelphia is a non-profit that concentrates on growing the creative industries in the region (communications & marketing, software development, architecture, engineering & planning, graphic & multi-media design, product & merchandising design, and information technology). They also work on attracting and retaining young professionals while promoting entrepreneurism and new ideas to foster economic growth.

Although they’ve been around since 2001, Innovation Philadelphia’s new direction and strategy required them to reinvent themselves in order to appeal to a difference audience. UNTUCK was brought on board to develop a vibrant identity to express creativity, growth, energy and innovation in a unique, professional way. The result was a bold graphic logo, stationery system and marketing kit, including a flexible style guide. UNTUCK has also expanded the brand to their website, eNewsletter, resource guide, and event signage.

Devine + Powers

Devine + Powers Brand Identity

Back in 2003, PR colleagues Jay Devine and Vince Powers met for a casual breakfast, and in the time it took for their pancakes to come off the griddle, they had cooked up a plan to launch a totally different kind of public relations firm. Today D+P represents some of the most well-respected brands nationwide, and in 2007 made headlines as the second fastest-growing independent PR firm in the country.

UNTUCK’s challenge was to move them from a young start-up to a vibrant and successful agency, all coinciding with a center city relocation. D+P’s new identity, starting with logo and stationery system, visually displays their unique one-on-one approach with clients, using a casual, energetic tone. Continuing the new brand, UNTUCK also developed their website which blends D+P’s physical office environment with their online environment. Plus a nifty xml updater allows D+P to easily keep their expanding client list current.

Art-Reach

Art-Reach Marketing Kit

Art-Reach is the only organization in the Philadelphia region solely devoted to bringing arts and cultural opportunities to the full range of underserved audiences. Each year their programs and services enable over 15,000 people with disabilities or economic disadvantages to enjoy the beauty and richness of the arts.

UNTUCK continues to build the brand for Art-Reach with the creation of a marketing kit, containing customized data sheets and a simple overview card about the organization. Through bold color and graphic floral imagery, their identity focuses on creativity, imagination and wonder, while utilizing their tag, “share the experience.” Their re-designed print newsletter will be ready just in time for their fall issue.
