Weitzman School of Design
MFA Double Feature
The Weitzman School of Design asked Untuck to create a special catalogue commemorating the work of its 2020 and 2021 Master of Fine Arts (MFA) graduates. Their senior thesis shows were combined in the spring of 2021, due to disruptions from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The chosen theme, "Double Feature," inspired the overall design and production of the catalogue. This unique binding technique allowed the reader to flip to start from both the front and back covers, leading to student work in the center. The design is inspired by the 80s New Wave movement, infusing the book with bold color, movement, and energy. Custom graphics were printed using a special technique called risograph, which provides an additional level of texture and grain and contrasts with the crisp, clean layout of the student work pages.
